Bryan Terry is a senior Journalism Major at Marist College with minors in Political Science and Music. He writes this blog as part of a project for his Communications Capping course, bringing together a variety of aspects from his education at Marist.
Bryan interned with several different organizations throughout his college career. The first was at WRGB-TV, Albany, New York’s CBS affiliate, where he assisted reporters and producers in the newsroom. He went on to intern for Capital Tonight, a live political talk show on YNN covering New York State politics at the Capitol in Albany. There he wrote scripts for the show, produced and logged video, and wrote posts for the State of Politics blog. Last fall, Bryan had the opportunity to intern in the press office of New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn at City Hall in Manhattan.
He’s also dedicated a great deal of his time in college to the Marist Institute for Public Opinion where he serves as an interviewer, supervisor, and research assistant.
Upon graduation, Bryan will move back to his hometown of Albany to once again work in the newsroom at YNN as a news assistant.
